Tailgate 5.0 FAQ’s

  1. Can I purchase tickets in advance?  There are no presales.  All tickets are sold the day of the event.
  2. How much does the tailgate cost?  $15 for members (no exceptions, your name appears here), $20 non-members.  Please don’t join just to save $5, it’s for charity and $20 is still highway robbery.  Cash only.
  3. What if the event sells out?  Since we make all of the rules, there are no sell outs.
  4. What is included in admission?  All you can eat Sahlens, Chiavetta’s chicken, Galla’s pizza, and Bison chip dip.  You can eat til you puke, but we don’t recommend this as it’s disgusting.  All you can drink Molson Canadian and all the water you can consume.  And we recommend consuming water.
  5. Where is the tailgate located?  At the Hudson Grille Midtown in the side parking lot.  Yes, we will still have free valet.
  6. What time does the tailgate begin? City of Atlanta liquor laws permit drinking at 12:30, so 12:30 it is!
  7. How much are tee-shirts?  Tee-shirts are $20 for long-sleeve and $15 for short-sleeve.  Cash only.
  8. How much is a child’s admission?  Children 13 and under are $8/each or 2 for $15.
  9. What if I don’t drink beer (children)?  Okay, so I added this question for myself.  Coke, water and Loganberry will be available.

Please plan ahead and be responsible!  Drinking and driving is stupid and irrisponsible.  Plan on taking Marta to the 10th Street exit or call a cab, they’re everywhere.

5th Annual Bills Backers of Atlanta Charity Tailgate, Sun, December 11, 12:30-4pm (Bills game 4-7pm)

Mark your calendars – December 11, 2011 the tradition continues.  $15 members, $20 non-members

“The only thing we don’t have is snow!” – Jeff Blackman circa 2004

Here is the deal folks, for $15, you get one hell of a damn good time and one hell of a full stomach!  If you don’t like fun and you don’t like food, stop reading.

For those of you that are new, we have been doing this tailgate for years, but didn’t do it last year because the Bills did not have a 4 o’clock game.  We party, we eat, we drink, we cheer and then we pile into the bar to watch the Bills (attempt to) pummel somebody.  This year, it’s the Chargers on Sunday, Dec. 11.

So, without further ado, this year your hard-earned $15 ($20 for non-club members) gets you all-you-can-eat Sahlen’s hot dogs courtesy of Barker’s Red Hots, Buffalo-style Pizza courtesy of Galla’s Pizza, Chivetta’s chicken wings, Bison Chip dip and all-you-can-drink Molson Canadian!  I am trying to score us some Aunt Rosie’s Loganberry too!!!  Ah, the memories!

We will have games and music!  No, I am not talking about Twister and Monopoly.  I am talking about typical games that mix well with drinkin!  Think cornhole, flip cup, beer pong, etc.  Feel free to bring something to play if you have it!

However, while there will be those that partake in excess, this is a family event and everyone is invited!  I had my 4 and 6 year old niece and nephew at a tailgate a few years ago if that gives you any idea……

We will have items to raffle off too!  So far we have a few Bills autographed items, a Thurman Thomas autographed football for example.   I will send a complete list of the raffle items out prior to the event.  If you have anything that you would like to donate to be raffled off, please let me know!  We will also do a 50/50 raffle.

Lastly, back by very popular demand, we will be selling Bills Backers t-shirts!  We have ordered both long-sleeve and short-sleeve navy and red shirts!  Get yours before they are gone!

Keep in mind that this event, along with all that we do is to raise money for charity.  At the end of the season, we tally up our earnings, count our blessings and donate to the likes of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Woman’s and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and Great Strides for Cystic Fibrosis.  This does not happen without your help!  Monetary donations above and beyond the $15 fee are more than welcome.

“Where else would you rather be?” – Marv Levy circa 1989

White out, no it’s not a snow storm

It’s not a freak snow storm in Atlanta, it’s the Bills Backers of Atlanta WHITE OUT.  The Buffalo Bills will wear their white uniforms at home this weekend, and to honor them we will be hosting a WHITE OUT at the Hudson Grille.  So remember to wear WHITE as we host the New York J-E-T-S, suck, suck, suck.

Bills Backers President, John Dutko, and member, Patrick Kelly, continue to give back to the community.  John and Pat attended the Hearts and Hands Gala benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  We look forward to donating more to charity with our Annual Tailgate Party, Dec. 11th.
