ATLANTA GA TOUR STOP
The fourth “Tour Stop” party will take place at Hudson Grill Midtown (942 Peachtree St. NE) in Atlanta on Monday, March 15 — the evening prior to the Sabres/Thrashers game on March 16.

For just $10, fans will be able to rub elbows with Lindy Ruff, Darcy Regier, members of the Sabres coaching staff, and broadcast personalities Rick Jeanneret, Harry Neale and Kevin Sylvester. In addition, everyone who purchases a ticket will receive an official Sabres Road Crew badge and lanyard. The event will include Buffalo-style food, drink specials, Sabres trivia, giveaways and much more. Tickets can only be purchased online at sabres.com.

All tickets will be mailed out prior to the actual event. Tickets purchased between March 1-15 WILL NOT be mailed out, but held at the event itself with your name on the guest list.

-Cheer on the home team . . . either one! The Buffalo Sabres have one of the best records in the National Hockey League’s Eastern Conference and the Atlanta Thrashers are battling for a playoff spot.

-Our seats are located in Sections 206 and 207 (Rows C-F) and are reduced to less than half price for The UB Alumni Association members of our group. The regular cost of a ticket is $62. If you’re a UB Alumni Association member, you can purchase a maximum of TWO tickets at $25 each. The non-member price is $32.

-We’ll gather, informally, at Headlines before the game, beginning at 6 p.m., where we’ll raffle off UB prizes.

REGISTRATION Register online by accessing the UB Alumni Association web site (www.alumni.buffalo.edu/events). Look for Atlanta Hockey and complete the information. You’ll receive a confirmation letter via e-mail and also can view a list of those who have registered. Or, you can phone the UB office of Alumni Relations at 800.284.5382. The deadline is to purchase tickets is March 5th. Tickets will be mailed, so be sure to properly complete the contact information area when you register. Tickets are non-refundable.

If you’re from Syracuse, Rochester, or Buffalo you may be a fan of Hofmann hotdogs (snappys). Syracuse has Hofmann, Rochester has Zweigles, and Buffalo has Salhen’s. Hofmann’s are my personal favorite, and I definitely recommend checking one out if your on the east side of town. They’re available at Shields Meat Market near Emory

Bills spirit is alive and well in the heart of Dixie. Got to give it up to the Atlanta Bills Backers chapter down here in Atlanta.

They had a very well put together Saturday evening event in midtown where they hosted HOF’er Billy Shaw, Mark Kelso, voice of the Bills John Murphy and myself for dinner and Q&A session.

I hope we provided some worthwhile answers. As always Bills fans were hospitable and appreciative.

It was a good way to wrap up the season of travel, so thanks to John and Melissa and the rest of the Atlanta Backers chapter. A job well done.

It’s less than two weeks away!

Dec. 26th (6 pm – 9 pm) - Pre-party at the Hudson Grille Midtown, 942 Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA. Former Bills players (Mark Kelso and Billy Shaw), Bills radio announcer John Murphy, famed tailgater Pinto Ron, and Backers from around the country will be here. Win signed Bills merchandise, cash raffles and more!

Dec. 27th – Tailgate (beginning at 7 am) in a lot at the intersection of Mitchell St and Haynes St. This lot is one block South of Marta/Georgia Dome. Tailgate begins at 7 a.m.! Pizza, wings, Sahlen’s, Bison chip dip and more! BYOB! We ask for a nominal cash contribution of $3 – $5 per person.

*Note – Georgia does not sell alcohol on Sundays. Be sure to buy your alcoholic beverages on Saturday.

We have reserved seats in the 201 and 202 sections for the Sabres vs Thrashers game. Sabres attack twice on our side. Tickets are $33 each, list price is $62 for a savings of 47% with our club. Sabres fans flock to the Arena for this game, so don’t miss out! Away game, what?!

First game this weekend at Hudson Grille Midtown

Hey Bills Backers of Atlanta,

The weekend of the big move is finally here, and we want to extend a big invitation to all our members to come check out the new Hudson Grille Midtown to watch this Sundays Bills game.

The menu has virtually not changed. All of your favorites are available including Anchor Bar Wings, Beef on Weck, Burgers, Dogs, Wraps, etc. Beer specials include $4.50 24oz. cans of Labatt Blue and $2.75 pints of Sam Adams Lager, Seasonal and my favorite, Cherry Wheat!

HG is located at 942 Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta, directly across the street from Taco Mac. Because parking can be difficult in Midtown, HG is offering complementary valet parking! Just follow the valet parking signs and remember to tip!

Sorry for the bad news, but more permit and construction snags with the new Hudson Grill. We will be at Cheyenne Grill one more (last) time for this Sunday’s game, Nov. 1. Next week, Nov. 8 is the teams bye-week. Stay tuned for a BIG announcement about the planned festivities for the grand opening of Hudson Grill for the Nov. 15 game.
